General PTA Meeting

Please join us for an evening with wine and cheese on August 5, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Little Theatre. We will be introducing the new PTA Executive Board, discussing our goals for the upcoming year, and getting a chance to meet our new superintendent Russell Jones. Come and find out how you can be involved in your school community!

 

Welcome Event

Plan to be at FDR on August 22 from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM for the PTA’s Welcome Back to School Event! We will have games and activities for all ages, hamburgers and sausages for purchase, and a family movie. Let’s enjoy the day together to celebrate the start of a new school year!

Kermesse - Book Fair - Auction

Kermesse

The PTA organizes the kermesse, a great community carnival, every May. This year the kermesse is scheduled for Saturday May 15. Each elementary school grade, the Middle School, and several High School clubs have booths with games and prizes. There are many choices of wonderful foods and people are entertained by a variety of acts. In addition there are several rides and inflatables. The money raised at the carnival this year will be dedicated to supporting building projects at FDR. Look for more details next semester!

Book Fair

Start the year off right with some new books! The FDR Book Fair will be September 14-18! The PTA will be bringing in books from Scholastic and from Amazon. Everyone is bound to find something that they will enjoy! We will be looking for volunteers to help with selling and set up! Some of the money raised at the Book Fair this year will go towards bringing another Visiting Author to FDR!

Auction

The auction this year will be full of surprises. The mixture of online, silent, and live auctions will surely appeal to everyone. The online portion of the auction is scheduled for December 1-7. Be sure to watch for more information because this is an event that you will not want to miss!

Summer/Winter Camp

The PTA helps sponsor a fun and entertaining camp at FDR every summer and winter break. Make sure to look for more information in November and in May!

 

Fun for students from 3 to 15 years old

Colegio Roosevelt offers a dynamic three-week sports program open to students from 3 to 15 years old. If you don't have travel plans in July and would like to offer your children an exciting alternative, try our Winter Camp where campers will enjoy a variety of sports activities. We also have an Early Childhood class and English as a Second Language for students who need additional support. Our Winter Camp offers opportunities for children to develop personal growth, self-discovery and friendship in a fun English immersion environment.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS

Uniform Store:

Colegio Roosevelt is a uniform-only campus.  Abugatta’s is the exclusive vendor of Colegio Roosevelt uniform pieces and has a store on campus for the community’s convenience.  School uniform policy is set by the School Board.  The PTA works with Abugatta’s to provide quality products at a reasonable price.  Store hours are: (need store hours).  Purchases can be made in cash (dollars or soles) or by credit card.
